New Ambulances...
OK you got me, these are not new ambulances bound for the US. They are however real ambulances used in Europe. One is a Mercedes, the other a Volvo- both known and respected names. Many would look at these and say they are to small. But too small for what? Too small to be a rescue vehicle, true. Too small to be an ALS with multiple responders, true.
But how about for the thousands of vehicles in the US that only perform interfacility transport work. Either of these could be an ideal vehicle and offer a perfect solution. Perhaps saving fuel and providing increased safety and comfort. In the end I am not say either is ideal, I am simply asking not to judge a book or an ambulance by its cover. I have long held that we should buy use-specific vehicles.
